Possibly, those might be different ones, I'm sure they are actually. The overhead projectors and just an remote controlled screen are really great, but as for those others I've seen they weren't really needed or of much use. But if they're the ones at NES, then go for it, no reason they shouldn't have them in the new schools.

I know what you're saying, that may be true with a lot, but I seen it with new teachers also that were familiar with it. I never seen a use for them in a lot of classes and were really pieces of junk, but these were probably different from the built in ones - the ones at Burton were mobile.

Some teachers WILL be familiar with them and ok with them, but a large percentage are just like the rest of the population and do not like change, period. Technology is scary to a lot of folks. Being a teacher doesn't change that.

I know exactly which ones you are talking about now, those were crap. The new ones are built in and the teachers just plug in the cord on their laptops from their desk and go nuts. They are interactive where the kids can actually get up and touch the boards and move objects, etc.

They make it possible to do a web based lesson for the entire class with only the teacher needing web access....pretty cool.

I should have used "I've" and I'd be fine. But I was just going off what Burton used, I knew there were built-in ones, but I didn't know if they were as bad as them.

I could see where that would be neat on the elementary level, to go up and move things around on the board. They don't use the boards at MECC, but still the nice projectors that hook up to laptops and are used constantly with powerpoints or sites on the web, just those would be great for these HS.

This would never happen in a newer building and another 50 kids in the class. It's not your fault. Seek your happy place.

Are you using hyperbole or do you really think that you are looking at 60+ kids in a class room

sup-rbeast likes scott counties setup ask him how the class room numbers at GC are since that will be close to the size of any of the 3 Wise Co. consolidated High Schools

Read the thing- I went to school for the first 7 years in Dayton Ohio... 60+ classes are rare and useless. It was about the mistake that was pointed out and not serious.
This thing is getting as bad as the Coalfield- write a comment about closing some schools and you get mentioned on the front page. They should just make the front page an ad, it couldn't hurt the quality.
